Frequently Asked Questions.
Do you accept insurance?
We are pursuing insurance credentialing. Plans listed as in progress, waitlisted, or planned are not yet accepted. Current participation will be updated before booking opens.
Can I pay out of pocket?
Yes. Our published self-pay rates are $220 for an initial psychiatric evaluation, $120 for a standard follow-up, and $170 for an extended follow-up. Reduced-fee openings may be available for eligible patients experiencing financial hardship.
Do you see children and teenagers?
Yes. Our practice is designed to support children, adolescents, and adults. Age-specific appointment availability and consent requirements will be confirmed when scheduling opens.
Are appointments virtual?
Yes. We plan to offer virtual psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing psychiatric care in states where the provider is authorized to practice. Washington services are pending.
What happens at my first appointment?
Your first visit includes a comprehensive discussion of your symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, goals, and treatment options. We work collaboratively to determine an individualized care plan.
Do you prescribe controlled medications?
Medication recommendations are based on individual clinical needs, safety considerations, applicable regulations, and practice-specific prescribing policies. Certain medications may not be available in every state. Treatment options and prescribing limitations will be discussed during the evaluation process.
Georgia notice: Stimulant medications are not prescribed through Tailored Roots Behavioral Health for patients receiving care in Georgia. Non-stimulant treatment options and other appropriate recommendations may be discussed following a clinical evaluation.
Can you manage medications I'm already taking?
Existing medication regimens can be reviewed during a psychiatric evaluation. Continuation or changes depend on clinical appropriateness, available records, and prescribing policies; no specific prescription is guaranteed.
Do I need a referral?
Many patients do not need a referral, but certain insurance plans—including some Medicaid managed-care, Medicare Advantage, and HMO plans—may require a referral or authorization. Please check your plan's requirements.
How do I book an appointment?
Online scheduling is coming soon. Please check back for launch updates, or email us with general questions. Do not send personal health information through regular email.
